Not a new species but good enough for a picture. This 23.5 inch 5 pound rainbow was hooked while fishing for Bluegill in one of the St.Louis Ponds. It took a worm on a bobber in less than five feet of water in thick weeds. It was quite a surprise since I didn't know that rainbows were in the Pond.
This is a photojournal of what I call "The Quest". The Quest is simple: to catch, photograph, and release unharmed as many fresh and saltwater fish species as I can in one year from Oregon bays, rivers, lakes and ocean. Use of fly gear when practicle but not required- any method will do.
