Brook Trout- Ann Lake-June 24

One of several brookies caught on damsel fly nymph imitations at hike in Ann Lake in the Mt. Jefferson wilderness. Fished from the float tube casting to rising fish near the weed beds. Lots of midges but damsel fly nymphs were the fishes choice.

Moonrise- Prineville Reservoir- June 17

Moon rising over Prineville Reservoir at sunset. One could stand in one place and see the moon rising in the east and the sun setting to the west simultaneously.

Craig on a training run along the Metolius Hiway near Camp Sherman, Or. He and I spent a long weekend touring through north central Oregon- John Day, Prineville, and Camp Sherman.

Shad-Bonneville Dam-June 10

One of 10 shad caught on a variety of jigs below Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River. Along with these was a bonus 16 inch chinook salmon caught and released and a big sturgeon snagged with a jig on 10 pound test line....the outcome was obvious. Six foot long sturgeon were finning in 2 feet of water with big dorsal fins slicing the surface looking for shad- sharklike!
