Herring were running in Yaquina Bay and were taking jigs readily. Compare these with the sardine and notice the similarities and differences- Herring don't have spots!
This is a photojournal of what I call "The Quest". The Quest is simple: to catch, photograph, and release unharmed as many fresh and saltwater fish species as I can in one year from Oregon bays,rivers,lakes and ocean. Use of fly gear when practicle but not required- any method will do.
